Different varieties ripen at different times. Apple harvests can start as early as July 15 for early apples. Most apples in the Mahoning Valley area are harvested starting around September 1st through October 25th, with late harvests going to the end of October. If you are interested in picking your own, you need to check with an orchard near you for picking times and dates.
