OFFER 10th Annual Field Day (PDF)
The OSU/OARDC's
Organic Food and Farming Education and Research Program (OFFER) tenth
annual Field Day held 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. in Wooster,
starting at the West Badger Farm, where there will be presentations
on reducing tillage in organic rotations, improving the baking quality
of Ohio's organic spelt, developing bread wheat for Ohio, and assessing
environmental impacts of organic animal production on water quality.
Research presentations on: cover crops and disease control; farmers
and researchers working together to improve weed control; and discussion
and demonstration of grafting for organic tomato production. Sessions
will also cover season extension and pest management through polyculture
design patterns.
