Grow Youngstown is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable growth of food, forage, forest and fuel in Youngstown and neighboring communities.

We have created a local direct market for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) to support local farmers and eaters and to keep food dollars within our area while lowering our carbon footprint.

Elsa Higby, CSA Program Coordinator
Amber Foster, CSA Promotion and Distribution Manager

HOW WE OPERATE

The 2011 season offers shares for 18 weeks, from June 13th through October 10th. Contracts may be downloaded from our website and drop locations will be on the North and South sides of Youngstown and in the Boardman/Poland area. The Grow Youngstown CSA will be sourcing from rural and urban farms within approximately 60 miles of Youngstown.

Visit our web site at http://www.growyoungstown.org/csa.html for the latest information on products available and scheduled food drops.

For 2011, Early Road Gardens and Red Basket Farm are supplying vegetable share boxes to our members. Our growers raise 30 or more crops each, include heritage varieties and use practices ranging from organically grown, certified organic and sustainably grown. All the food is grown locally.
